Misa, who would be trying her luck for the second time from Patliputra, started from 10, Circular Road and reached collectorate to file the nomination. The long fleet of vehicles and her motorcycleborne supporters in her roadshow created jam on Patna roads, causing much inconvenience to commuters, who had to bear the sweltering heat in the snarl up. Misa said that she missed her father and therefore decided to carry his picture with her. 'I am confident that people will support and vote for me. I will win from Patliputra,' she added. After offering prayers at the temple, Yadav held a roadshow to reach collectorate where he filed the nomination papers. Talking to media, Yadav, too, expressed confidence that he would win with a huge margin. Yadav had broken ties with RJD in 2014 after Misa was given ticket from the party. He had then joined BJP and defeated Misa by a margin of 40,322 votes in the LS polls. From Ara, Raju Yadav of CPI-ML filed papers with a massive support of Grand Alliance leaders, including Barhara RJD MLA Saroj Yadav, VIP chief Mukesh Sahni, HAM-S president Jitan Ram Manjhi, RJD leaders Shivanand Tiwari and Jagdanand Singh besides others. GA is supporting CPI-ML candidate in Ara. Before filing of nomination, the leaders addressed a gathering at Ara's Ramna maidan and attacked BJP for giving ticket to Pragya Singh Thakur from Bhopal. CPI-ML national general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said despite being accused in Malegaon blast, Pragya was allotted ticket. He also attacked chief minister Nitish Kumar for joining hands with BJP. He said after defeat of NDA all efforts would be made to grant bail to Lalu Prasad and CPI-ML activists who were imprisoned under TADA. Others who addressed the gathering were Mukesh Sahni, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Congress leaders DP Tripathi and Shashwat Gautam, RJD leaders Shivanand Tiwari and Jagdanand Singh, Raju Yadav, RJD MLA Vijendra Yadav and Tarari MLA and CPI-ML leader Sudama Prasad. Former deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav could not reach Ara due to technical snag in his helicopter at Dehrion-sone.
